How to create a sales return

Use this guide to create a sales return against an existing sales invoice in Raad ERP.

Go to: Sales > Sales Return > Create Sales Return

Step 1: Open Sales Return Screen

From the left-side navigation, click Sales.

Select Sales Return.

Click Create Sales Return.

Step 2: Select Original Invoice

You can select the original invoice in two ways.

Option 1: Click Import (next to Search Sales Return) and select the required invoice from the list.

Option 2: In the Return Details section, manually select the Original Invoice that needs to be returned.

Step 3: Return Details

Select the Original Invoice.

Return Date will be auto-filled with the current date. You can change it if required.

Select the Return Method:

Cash – Amount is refunded in cash.

Store Credit – Amount is added as credit to the customer account.

Bank Transfer – Amount is refunded through bank.

If required, enter the Return Reason.

Step 4: Line Items

After selecting the original invoice, invoice items will be listed automatically.

The original invoice quantity will be shown.

Enter the quantity to be returned.

Return quantity cannot exceed the original invoice quantity.

Step 5: Post Sales Return

Review the return details.

Click Post to complete the sales return.

After posting, the sales return will be saved successfully and reflected in stock, customer ledger, and reports.
