How to create a purchase return

Use this guide to create a purchase return against an existing purchase invoice in Raad ERP.

Go to: Purchase > Purchase Return > Create Purchase Return

Step 1: Open Purchase Return Screen

From the left-side navigation bar, click Purchase.

Select Purchase Return.

Click Create Purchase Return.

Step 2: Return Details

Select the Purchase Invoice to be returned.

Enter the Reason for Return.

Return Date will be auto-filled with the current date. You can change it if required.

Step 3: Refund Method

Select the Refund Method:

Debit Note – Amount will be adjusted against future purchases.

Cash – Amount will be refunded in cash.

Bank Transfer – Amount will be refunded through bank.

If Debit Note is selected, choose the required debit note option.

Step 4: Line Items

After selecting the purchase invoice, items will be listed automatically.

Enter the Quantity to be Returned for each item.

Return quantity cannot exceed the original invoice quantity.

If required, enter item-level Reason for Return.

Step 5: Additional Charges (Optional)

If applicable, enter additional charges or adjustments.

Step 6: Save or Post Purchase Return

Click Save to keep the purchase return as draft.

Click Post to confirm the purchase return.

You can also use shortcuts:

F3 to Post.

F4 to Save.

After posting, the purchase return will be saved successfully and reflected in stock, vendor ledger, and reports.
