How to issue a credit note for an invoice?

Use this guide to create a credit note against an existing sales invoice in Raad ERP.

Go to: Accounting > Credit Notes > Create Credit Note

Step 1: Open Credit Note Screen

From the left-side navigation bar, click Accounting.

Select Credit Notes.

Click Create Credit Note.

Step 2: Select Customer

Select the customer.

All previous invoices issued to that customer will be available for selection.

Step 3: Select Original Invoice

Choose the original invoice for which the credit note is being created.

Invoice list will show invoices related to the selected customer.

Step 4: Enter Reason (Mandatory)

Enter the reason for issuing the credit note.

Reason field is mandatory.

Step 5: Add Item Details

Enter the item description.

Enter the quantity.

Enter the unit price.

Tax will be applied automatically based on settings.

You can adjust tax if required.

Step 6: Post Credit Note

Review all entered details.

Click Post to confirm the credit note.



After posting, the credit note will be reflected in customer ledger and accounting reports.
